Home Walking Programme

If you have not exercised for some time or have experienced any ill health recently, it is advisable that you talk to your Practice nurse before starting any activity.

Exercise should never cause you any discomfort.

Ensure you have an adequate supply of water to keep you hydrated.

Finish your exercise feeling you could have of done more; this will keep your motivation high and reduce the risk of injury.

Please try to walk on the BOLD days. These walks should be in addition to your every day tasks.

Make a note of times and distance covered during your walk. Always work at your own level and apply the “Talk Test”
